WIPS

OK so I have been slacking... my creative juices have been flowing so much, and I have been organizing, creating, etc. I have tons os pics, I have to post here... So a few things first...

All of this here is unfinished & I a making it a goal of mine to finish up all this stuff... Lily's little camo hat was finished, but it got a snag so now it needs a good fixin...

I did end up finishing the pot holder I was working on, I am going to make a few more of these I think, just because I like them so much :)

Have my friends ever wondered what my "stash" looks like? This is some of it :) I have misc fiber yarns in the top, Lily Sugr n Cream multis in the next bin, Lily Sugar n Cream solids in the next, and the trunk? Well that would have acrylic blends...

What's that you say? That's a shit ton of yarn? Yes it is lovies, but it goes soooooo fast! LSC is my FAVVVVVV yarn (for now)...

This is my "area", where the magic happens. These few things are my working on stuff. No, that trunkabsolutely isn't filled with yarn ( I have such hopes for that!)  It actually holds my pictures.

I am starting to collect beads, sequins, buttons, and brads... yes I do feel another obsession coming on, why do you ask?

I think that is it for now.

Projects

So this little number is something I sort of came up with on my own... My wonderful SIL Lisa suggested a CO of 25, but I went with a 30 (foolishly) & just did a straight garter stitch back & forth until the desired length. I used size 11 circular needles here...

I absolutely loooove this yarn, ribbony, stretchy, lovely, shiny...

After I got to the desired length I folded my rectangle in half lengthwise & sewed just the 2 corners together... Then I took my size L crochet hook & SC all the way around the arm holes twice.

I think it is absolutely adorable on her & she loves it... BUT I have a suggestion, if you are going to use a ribbony yarn I think you should CO a few less stitches than you actually need. This yarn has so much stretch once it's in stitches. Lily wears a 5T & I (foolishly) CO 30 as I said above... as I get better at writting patterns I will edit this I am sure :)

I have got tooooo many projects going on right now... Well, I take that back, you can never have toooooo many. But you can have not enough time lol!!!

Look for my Revamping of my table, I am soooooo stoked to do this lil project. I t is actually my first real project. Here's a teaser...

Pitiful isn't it? But I can PROMISE you it shall not be once I am finished!!

This is where I've found my pattern for the flat circle :)

My 1st knitting in the round!

So here it is! What do you think, yeah I know, I have posted this on FB... but not here.

Ho Hum La De Dum...

Not a whole lot has been going on here. Just been sitting wishing and hoping...

I did do some crafts with Lily & I think they came out beautiful...

Lily's is on the right, I think she really did a good job!

I've been going through the process of learning to knit. For me it's very intimidating. I actually tried a "magic loop"...

Yeah it looks good lying down, but it had what's called "ladders", or big ASS holes in it where the stitches were separated... I do not like this method, and I did give it a very good go. So I attempted DPN's... thhose are INTIMIDATING! But, they work oh so well!!

So we shall see once this is an FO.

Mind you I don't sit and knit all day lol... I crochet too, clean, do the mommy/housewife thing... but I am also a property manager & live onsite.

I have so mannnnnny ideas/projects running through my head, think I'll have to make a list to get it all done :)

That's my ramblings for today...

My reveal...

Hmmm friends,

I don't know what it is, but I've been blue lately. Nothing has made me smile truly or not think bad things. Have I been depressed? Maybe a little, but not so much as I've been pondering. Am I happy with  who I am, where I'm at, what I believe in, what kind of friend, mother, daughter, person I am...

And for the most part I am. I think there's things I could change about myself, things that I wish I could chaange or undo, but those things aren't easy. I love the fact that I've got such an amazing passion for all things yarn, and that I've picked up as much as I have already. And for those things that I can't/won't/haven't changed... well, I am only 31 after all, I have a whole lifetime to change....

SOOOOOOO.... my reveal....
Something inspiring...
Something happy...
Beautiful...
Fresh....

Sunny Petals

Do you love it???? I do!! I took these pics in the dark because to me I have felt dark and moody lately... But this bag is so bright and cheerful and glowy... how could my mind not brighten and my mood lift? I hope my Sunny bag helps you smile too....

I've also been working on a couple small things to brighten my mom & dad's day a little bit. Pics to come once I'm done...

Why blog?

I have been asking myself this question.... Why blog?

My answer? I am so forgetful, I want a place to keep track of my life, experiences, things I've been doing with the kiddos... and really? I'm doing it for me...

If you'd like to know what I've been up to, well... crocheting, knitting, and reading.

Lily's bag on the left is just about finished. All I have now is to add the handles. I absolutely love this bag, I just really hope she doesn't ruin it :) The flower in front is a pot holder I just can't seem to make myself finish... I really dislike not finishing things, but I am the queen of starting new things before others are finished... you too?

Ohhh yes, knitting, thanks for asking...

This washcloth is the very first COMPLETED knitting project I've completed. I absolutely love the colors. This is knitted on sized 7 cirular needles, with Lily Sugar and Cream cotton yarn.

Now, your supposed to 'block" things, that makes them perfectly straight & square... bu this is my cloth, and I don't feel the need to waste time blocking it when I want to use it straight away ha ha ha.

I finished my crochet shrug too, it's made from Serenity silk yarn

I also have read two books recently... can you believe I've managed to read books??? I read "Trace the Dead Eye" ( that receieves one thumb up) and "Blood Island". BI gets 2 total thumbs up! LOVE this book.

One of my fav things to do is being outdoors. I love to go camping... nothing smells better to me than a campfire, and some dogs roasting on it. I love to fish as well... I could literally sit for hours and get a horrid sunburn (which I did) and love every minute of it. I absolutely love the out doors. Sadly I've not taken Lou or Bubba camping! *shaking head in disbelief* BUT I do have a couple cool pics of Lou & Bubba from out last outdoorsy adventure...

Yes I know, most people don't condone taking their kids out to the shooting range. Ben & I are not most people, actually were very safe with oour guns, keep them hidden @ home, and while out were never shooting at the same time...

This is in Pinal, the kids love it out there. It's a huge military area that isn't used anymore (as far as we know). Families go out there to ride dirt bikes, quads, buggies etc. There are 2 huge ponds & those arre the shooting areas. People actually go out there to hunt Dove & Quail too. Pretty interesting.

Hooking is coming along nicely...

So, I've been working on this little bag and I love it. All the bright colors and softness of the yarn. I'm just about halfway done now. Crochet has started taking up so much of my time, but it's a good thing. My hands stay busy, my mind is creative, I've quit smoking, love it. I am so excited to see what this year brings creatively for me
Right then, you'd like a pic eh?

Isn't it pretty? Doesn't it make you smile? And after all the hooking I did I had to have a hearty meal. If anyone is interested I can post a recipe!

Very very good soup! It's my twist on Albondigas.Well then, I've got to go open the office, but don't fret.... I 'll be baaaack (said in Arnie's voice)

PS... my SIL has a shop, she crochets & knits gorgeous things up... here's the LINK if your interested in purchasing something from her!

Hooks, yarns, baggies...

Here is a "stash bag" that I made a few weeks ago. I got the pattern from Lucy. This is a blog I absolutely love.  Now I'm making another bag, hich I'm calling Spring Petals.

Here's the begining...

I absolutely love this little  bag! I am thinking of giving it to Lily... But, she may not take proper care of it seeing that she's just about to be 4... could be a project bag for mommy eh? As alays, there is so much I want to make, work on, look at, etc...
Back to it then, and I will add more pics...

I think it's coming along rather pretty! I just love the bright colors, makes me smile. The kiddos have been occupying themselves for a bit, so I think I'll take advantage ha ha ha... oh, yes, I'm also nursing a brandy :)

Just when Bubba had gotten a little nutty (guess I was hooking too much) this happens...
Only a mother could love such dirty hands...
Ahhh yes, I love him <3

More to come....
